Installation steps of PLC field installation matters needing attention

After arriving at the site, before the system installation, it is necessary to consider whether the installation environment meets the requirements of the use environment of PLC, which can refer to the user manual of various products. The first important thing is electrostatic isolation. Static electricity is an invisible killer, but many people often ignore it because it may not be life-threatening. In dry places in northern China, static electricity on the human body is the cause of static electricity damage to electronic components. Even if you are struck by static electricity, it is only a slight numbness, but it can be fatal to PLCS and any other electronic device.

To avoid static shock there are three ways: in the maintenance or replacement of components, please first touch the metal ground to remove static electricity; Do not touch the connector or IC pin on the circuit board; When the electronic components are not in use, please use the package with static electricity isolation and place the components inside. Imagine that the components of a PLC are a delicate baby, and that static electricity will cause the baby's death. It will be easier to treat the problem in the right way.

During RACK installation, after determining the positions of various control components and slots in the control box, mark the holes according to the size shown on the drawing, and tighten the fixing screws until the base is firm after drilling. Before installing the power supply module, it is necessary to pay attention to whether the grounding end on the power cord is connected to the metal housing. If not, it should be connected. A bad grounding can lead to a series of problems, including static electricity, surge, external interference, and so on. Due to ungrounded, often PLC can also work, therefore, a lot of inexperienced engineers mistakenly think that grounding is not so important. It's like climbing a mountain without a protective cable. It doesn't work when you're moving forward, but once you slip up, without that rope, your life is over. PLC grounding, is equivalent to the PLC on the protection cable.

When I/O module is installed, the following matters should be noted: before I/O module is inserted into the slot on the rack, it is necessary to confirm whether the module is a pre-designed module by itself; When I/O module is inserted into the guide slot on the rack, it must be inserted to the bottom to ensure that the contact points are closely connected. The fixing screw of the module must be locked; When the terminal block is inserted, the upper and lower screws must be tightened. Due to the influence of transformers and motors on site, there will be some vibration. If these screws become loose, the module will be released from the rack.
